IBC 2022 has come and gone, and what an incredible event it was!
Between winning an award, launching product extensions, launching the future plan of our company and everything in between, the event clearly embodied its mantra of empowering content everywhere.
We had a wonderful time meeting everyone who visited our stand and demonstrating some of the exciting changes that are coming to Dizplai’s cloud data display platform.

Our Managing Director, Ed Abis was a key speaker at probably the most visited panel discussion at the Content Everywhere stage at IBC 2022.
Here’s some key snippets from the discussion:
Roland Sars on what he thinks is next after covid: “The fight for attention is hard, and we want to make sure that it is easy for viewers to find something they want to watch.” Roland notes that we each spend on average about 20 minutes a day trying to find something we want to watch.
Tom Dvorak on some of the key challenges he faces: “The volume of content is massive and the algorithm is getting better. So we are focussing on what parts we can automate and give the audience back some control.”
It was clear to see that broadcasters and live content creators alike have a hunger for new ways to engage with their viewers. People are growing increasingly aware of cutting-edge engagement methods within the industry, and want to find the best ways to improve their live broadcasts.
It’s also undeniable that viewers want to engage with content. We know that 81% of viewers use a secondary screen to get more information on the show they are watching; here lies our promise.

Dizplai have been named as the winners of the Outstanding OTT or engaging experience in partnership with BT Sport at the SVG Europe Sports TV Awards. This award recognises the innovative, interactive approach that BT Sport took in devising a new format centred on audience engagement, with Dizplai’s cloud-based moderation and playout platform at the heart of the Champions League Tonight highlights and analysis show.
The judges described the winner as “a best-in-class example of a digital-first broadcast, powered by a system which sets the standard for providing this type of seamless, interactive audience experience.”
