EuroNews Serbia – The Cube

The Project:

Euronews Serbia displayed real-time news and reaction for a first-of-its-kind in-studio display, featuring social media commentary and reaction translated for Serbian viewers. Dizplai empowered producers and the presenter, with the toolset to follow and source content from trusted profiles during the live broadcast, using the platform’s Producer Portal to operate graphics in the studio.

The Challenge:

Producers of Euronews’ The Cube looked to enhance coverage of reports on the latest news and daily events, and match the innovation of their new virtual studio, featuring a vertical in-studio display. A solution was required to help the team follow relevant and trusted sources in multiple languages on social media and deliver content, in real-time, prompted by the presenter’s tablet for their new production offering, broadcast on the hour.

Production:

With just weeks to go before launch, Dizplai’s customer solutions team worked with producers to conceive and deliver an exciting concept. Dizplai offered them an HTML-based solution with the Producer Portal to operate graphics in-studio – the first of our clients to have access to the tablet-enabled content prompter.

Dizplai integrated into workflows to display a scrolling carousel of social posts sourced from Twitter on the vertical display. Producers managed Dizplai from a web browser to set up trusted influencer lists within the platform and moderate timely news analysis or comments for the presenter to feature and discuss.

The live broadcast showcased Dizplai’s Trusted List capabilities, alongside a toolset that enables the quick sourcing, moderation and delivery of social data, such as comments, images, and video, that were simply incorporated into the broadcast graphics hardware, with Dizplai’s Producer Portal accessed on the co-host’s tablet.

Dizplai’s HTML graphics engine created a cost-effective and seamless delivery of “broadcast-standard” graphics featuring real-time reaction across the news world.
