German broadcaster, ProSieben, covered the NFL 2022 season with selected weekend games. Producers used Dizplai to source images, comments and videos from Twitter and Instagram for redisplay within a selection of dynamic graphic overlays in their online live streams.
As the NFL brand continues to grow across Europe, ProSieben – the Germans rights holder – wanted to activate football fans on social media and enhance the viewing experience during the highlights show. The producers aimed to create an organic conversation and entice viewers to share their experiences, insight and content, and feature the best reactions.
The ran Football show called for viewers to tag @ransport and the #ranNFL hashtag to connect with the conversation on social and share their views on the hot NFL news. During match-play, the moderated content from viewers was included in a lower-third graphic, while images and video were heroed on a carousel during a full-screen mini-segment in between pauses during the game.
Throughout each segment, producers also ran a quiz, asking viewers to share their answers via social and get the conversation running during broadcast – another chance to engage viewers. Using trusted Twitter lists, pundits and influencers were also followed to keep on track of the latest conversation and use content to impact the narrative and discussion topics.
