Challenge

For their live coverage of Champions League Football and the Fury vs. Wilder 3 fight, BT Sport needed a solution that would allow them to generate fan engagement in the live broadcast while empowering the presenter to control the content directly without interrupting the audience’s content experience.

A cloud-based data integration platform was required to seamlessly integrate into the studio workflow and enable both production teams to collaborate on sourcing and moderating relevant user generated content (ugc) for the upcoming live broadcasts.

Solution

Dizplai delivered a comprehensive solution that put Audience Participation at the heart of the shows. Using our cloud-based platform, BT Sport’s producers could source, cue, and display live social content, including comments, images, videos, and polls.

The Producer Portal gave content hosts direct control over the interactive media, allowing them to publish social reactions from their tablet, giving presenters complete control of the live content in real-time. This social media integration and advanced content moderation made viewers a central part of the narrative, driving higher levels of fan engagement with the content throughout the live show and across social platforms.
