SVG Europe Sport Production & Technology Summit

Our first in-person event since early 2020 deserves a feature on the blog page. Our very own Customer Solutions Director, Karl Kathuria joined SVGEurope for their annual (pandemic excluding) Sport Production & Technology Summit at Chelsea FC’s Stamford Bridge Stadium.

An apt venue at the home of the current EPL front-runners, with leaders in sports content creation in attendance. SVG Europe celebrated the very best in technology and deliver of the world of sport, from traditional broadcast rights holders, to Esports, the sessions covered recent case studies, industry insight, and thought leadership from a glut of experts.

Joined by Per Lindgren from Net Insight and Anna Lockwood of Telstra Broadcast Services, Karl Kathuria and the panel – hosted by SVG’S Ken Kerschbaumer – discussed the many aspects in which the industry has transformed over the last 18 months. Delving into how workflows have adapted, and the need for cloud-based platforms has increased, to enable remote collaborative working.

Discussing the ways clients are adapting, Karl suggests that “It’s all about working together and using cloud-based tools to deliver ideas. Using the latest innovations to combine concepts that may not have worked before”. While Anna expands on how usage of their networks are increasing, and how they are enabling users to connect and utilise cloud tools.
