Uniting the BCAN Community with Fan Engagement Tools
Challenge
The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN), a charity providing essential support to patients and caregivers, sought to produce its 4th virtual walk. The primary challenge was to drive traffic and increase donations without compromising the live stream’s quality. BCAN needed to bring its global community together by providing a platform for individuals to share their personal experiences, requiring aesthetically pleasing graphics and seamless social media integration.
Solution
Dizplai supported BCAN by providing a solution that blended compelling visuals with live audience contributions. The Dizplai platform enabled social media integration, allowing individuals to share their own experiences and user-generated content (UGC) directly into the live stream.

This approach facilitated Audience Participation, bringing BCAN’s community closer together without the need for an in-person event. The result was an inspiring, engaging, and informative live stream that achieved BCAN’s goals.
Results
The virtual walk was an astounding success, successfully meeting its goals for quality and engagement while successfully bringing the bladder cancer community closer together regardless of face-to-face restrictions.
Mark Story, Director of Communications and Marketing at BCAN, commented on the partnership stating, “Dizplai gave us a vibrant and compelling look and it all blended together very well. Everything worked just as planned and Dizplai was a huge part of that.”
