Empowering RTE to Maximise Fan Engagement
Challenge
Ireland’s public broadcaster, RTE, wanted to create a new live sports series, titled “Ireland’s Greatest Sporting Moment”. RTE recruited Dizplai to build a truly interactive media experience where the audience would drive the show’s editorial narrative while increasing the content’s organic reach across social media. RTE required a social media content moderation platform to manage live audience participation and integrate user-generated content (UGC) into the production in real time.
Solution
Dizplai partnered with RTE to deliver a comprehensive live fan engagement solution. The Dizplai platform enabled RTE producers to manage live votes and comments from multiple social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

The show’s hosts also used the Presenter Portal to view shortlisted UGC and real-time poll results, ensuring a seamless and dynamic broadcast. This direct social media integration allowed RTE to fully reflect the opinions of their viewers, allowing them to contribute to the programming up to the second before polls appeared on their primary viewing screens.
