Building Community for Breast Cancer Now via UGC

Challenge

To maximise the impact of their “WearItPink” fundraising event, Breast Cancer Now needed an innovative way to drive fan engagement and personally thank supporters for their fundraising efforts. The challenge was to manage the immense volume of user-generated content (UGC) and respond in a unique, personalised way that showed Breast Cancer Now’s appreciation for the public’s contributions to their amazing cause.

Solution

Dizplai partnered with Breast Cancer Now to manage their social campaign. Supporters used the hashtag. “#WearItPink” to share photos of their fundraising activities. The Dizplai platform provided comprehensive social media integration, including the aggregation, content moderation, and publishing of posts.

To show their gratitude, the charity generated personalised responses to send unique thank-you videos directly to supporters who tweeted their fundraising efforts. Turning the interactive media campaign into a powerful two-way conversation while supporting Breast Cancer Now in building a powerful digital community.

The campaign successfully transformed a fundraising event into a highly engaging, community-driven experience:

  • A total of 1,405 personalised videos were shared.
  • These videos saw a 105% like rate and a 38% retweet rate.
