At IBC 2024, Dizplai needed to stand out in a crowded marketplace while showcasing how our interactive solutions turn distractions into engagement. Our goal was to demonstrate the power of real-time audience interaction and drive foot traffic to our stand.
We knew this would be a challenge, but after assessing our in-house data, we uncovered that when competing in non-betting online competitions, users come back to view the leaderboard up to 10 times during the event. Utilising this knowledge, we knew we had to pounce on this engagement opportunity at IBC 2024.
Solution: The Football Win Predictor Game
We launched the Football Win Predictor, challenging attendees to guess football scores over the IBC weekend. The game created buzz, inviting participants to compete with colleagues and win a prize, all while visiting our stand (5.B57) to play and track results.
To ensure everybody at IBC was aware of our competition, we set up multiple touch points across the event. This included physical QR codes displayed on our stand, as well as a location-based geo-cache to target ads at people in the RAI. Demonstrating our capabilities to target potential fans at any given moment. Additionally, we set up the leaderboard at our stand to keep participants coming back to see their ranking and check if they still had a chance of winning the grand prize.
There were three significant outcomes as a result of the Predict, Play, Win football predictor. Leading to positive outcomes for the game participants and Dizplai:
1. Engagement & Competition: Attendees predicted scores, sparking friendly competition and boosting stand traffic.
2. Real-Time Data: Participants saw how we turn live engagement into actionable insights.
3. Brand Visibility & User Retention: The game kept visitors coming back and interacting with us throughout the event.
Results: Turning Engagement into Opportunity
The game was a hit, drawing hundreds to our stand and providing a real-time demo of how Dizplai can transform passive audiences into active communities. It was a fun, engaging experience highlighting our ability to turn distractions into valuable brand data.
