Dizplai Q&A – Eleanor Cheyne, Product Manager

Eleanor, what do you do at Dizplai?
I work as the link between our clients and the Dizplai developers – making sure we understand what the client wants, that changes are handled and explained effectively and checking everything is correct before we deploy.
What motivated you to join the Dizplai team?
I love new products and companies that are always open to trying new things. Dizplai is always trying to come up with ways to solve client problems and say yes.
What are your strengths and how do you see them helping within your role?
I think every personality trait has a positive and a negative side but in this role I am constantly looking for solutions and staying positive. It’s important our clients feel excited about what we deliver and the developers know their hard work is important and appreciated.
What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Under-promise and over-deliver.
Who’s your dream customer?
More political television shows! Politics is a topic that turns a lot of people off and yet is so integral to our lives. Coming up with a way to portray the audience’s point of view and facilitate discussions is something that is missing in that space I feel apart from Peston on ITV which we proudly support with our platform.
If you had to eat one type of food, for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
I thought this was going to be my hardest question until I realised I could just pick dessert! With custard!
If you could switch jobs with anyone for the day, who would it be and why?
A professional dessert taste tester – you got food on my brain!
How do you switch off?
Trashy reality television, currently Married At First Sight Australia. Lots of drama and gossip to get wrapped up in, great accents but nothing that actually has any impact on my life
What’s your poison?
Tequila in any form but ideally with pineapple and lemonade
If you were stuck on a deserted island and you could take ONE item, what would it be and why?
A lighter, I need fire to cook food and boil water. A large fire.
